Curious if anyone has any ideas for this weekend in NYC? Could be an old show or a new show. Generally like comedy and historical.

Here's a list I compiled off of ChatGPT but really could use some first hand experiences. Hamilton and Six stood out, also read some good things about Maybe Happy Ending. Are there any others we should consider or others on this list that should stand out more?

If me, for pure entertainment I'd go to the "The Stranger Things" one. Mainly because like the series and saw the documentary they did on the broadway show's creation in England and special effects looked cool.

Book of Mormon is one of the funniest things I've ever seen. As long as you're not a prude and easily offended, I 100% recommend it.

Six is high energy no intermission
Maybe Happy ending solid and no intermission.
Death becomes her was a fave this year for me
Hadestown one of the best the last few years.
Operation mincemeat I had doubts but found that I really enjoyed it as well.

I don't think you can go wrong with any suggestions here on this thread

My wife and I just went a few weeks ago and saw The Great Gatsby and it was AMAZING. Probably one of the best musicals I've ever seen and it felt very "New York". Six is very good too and fun and short. I loved both of them and I'm more of a Tombstone Star Wars guy haha but those musicals were great. Moulin Rouge is always good too.

I know Hamilton isn't as big of a deal as it was when it first came out, but I still think it's very good and it's probably a good "starter musical." If you know the basics of American history, it's pretty easy to follow along.

Six is a 90min high energy show that's a lot of fun.

Oh Mary! is very funny, weird, silly, dumb, offensive, and very VERY queer. I'm seeing it for the second time in a few weeks because Jinxx Monsoon is taking over the lead this month. It's incredibly original and hysterical but it is decidedly not for everyone.
