we were at a restaurant and they had the thinnest napkins and were really stingy with them...so when the person at the counter handed me 1 napkin with our order I said: "Oh so you don't have a square to spare huh?" Everyone in our group laughed really hard about it.

I don't know why that cracks me up so much.

I worked a job in the early 2010s where we did the whole 9 yards of Festivus - the feats of strength was an arm-wrestling competition - one bracket for men, one for women and an Airing of the Grievances. our very cool female manager made everyone who was going to participate in AotG sign a waiver with HR saying this is all in good fun and nobody's complaining.

It was highlighted by her then calling out two of our writers who thought they were "secretly dating" but everyone knew they had been going out for months. She said, so "Jon, Stephanie (not their real names), how much longer do the rest of us have to pretend you guys aren't hooking up constantly? Because it is exhausting to keep pretending."

When the girl said "You know about that?" one of my favorite co-workers ever did this giant roaring laugh and said, "EVERYONE KNOWS, YOU IDIOTS!"

A buddy and I do that but referencing Moe from the Simpsons on the bowling episode when he's rooting for his teammates and when Homer bowls a strike, Moe IMMEDIATELY gets pissed and say, "Oh, so now you think you're better than me?"

Of the many jokes, it is the one that does not go over well around people who don't realize it's a joke.

I drove across the Mississippi today and thought about this scene.

A couple of week ago, one of my friends threw his disc golf drive about 6 feet forward into a tree and explained it away by saying "my rods and cones are all screwed up!" and we couldn't stop laughing for 5 minutes.

We use "summer of George" a lot replacing George with various family member names.

I recently quit my job to be able to spend more time with my family this summer. I have been quoting, "Summer of AustinAg2k" a lot, especially when I have to do something like pull weeds all day.
