any thoughts about this one? I think it looks pretty interesting
God loves you so much He'll meet you where you are. He also loves you too much to allow to stay where you are.

I didn't really like either of the other 2 Tron movies.

Same. I regularly cite the summer of 1982 as one of the best for movies, but never reference Tron as one of the greats that summer. It wasn't a bad movie, but I just didn't find it to be that enjoyable despite its unique visual effects. The sequel is one that I took an immediate hatred to the one time I watched it.

i will probably watch this new one at some point, but already I am not liking what I am seeing in the trailers. Certainly not seeing that one in the theater.

I plan on seeing it in the theaters. I know we had another thread devoted to it, but I think it seems the advertisements have been frankly leaking too much, been everywhere and some were already turned off because of Jared Leto (eventhough he was the one to help get the movie off the ground) and we have people wanting to boycott Disney because of Jimmy Kimmel being pulled...*sigh*...

I think it will have another cult following much like Legacy, but man this film has a lot going against it right now. Not female Ghostbusters reboot, but it has a lot...

How old were you at the time? I remember seeing it and absolutely loving it. I was 6. And admittedly, the original Tron is one of those movies that whenever it's on, i'll stop and watch. It's not a great move by any standard, and the effects don't hold up well, but it just takes me back to a time when video games were simple and fun, and computers were some crazy technology we couldn't fully understand

Listened to it when it came out last week. Some good stuff in there, but pretty far from my favorite when compared to the rest of NIN's work. All the songs were so short, but I guess that works in the movie format.

That summer, and currently, I found The Thing, Blade Runner, Poltergeist, Conan the Barbarian, Star Trek II: The Wrath of Khan, Firefox, The Road Warrior, and even ET to be better movies. That was also the one and only summer I spent a lot of time playing video games, either on our Atari or at the local game arcades.

All of those are great movies. Some are all time classics. But how many had a killer companion game on the intellivision console?!?!?

No idea. I played Atari games like Asteroids, Missile Command, and some haunted house game.
