You can't really trust RT or other critic reviews these days, so I'm looking for those true gems (movies or shows) that you think are good, but you wouldn't know from the critic reviews. I'll start.

Also, this thread isn't about arguing that the RT critics are correct. We know what we like. That kind of stuff can be put in a different thread.
Basically if it's a man action driven piece with little plot, you're gonna get A big divergence. Critics are much more nit picky on stuff like that.
On the flip side, the critics eat up the artsy indy work that most people would rather skip.

This is where there is a difference in something being good and something being fun/enjoyable.
Critics often have no concept of the latter, and I can't even really think of a single critic I put weight behind their review anymore
The last critics I - might have - listened to were Siskel & Ebert.

I ran across this the other night scrolling Prime. Looks pretty good and I see there is a sequel series out now too. I have that favorited to watch sometime.

Well, they gave Black Panther around 94%. That was at best a midrange Marvel movie. But…you know how it is.

There are some solid examples on this thread, but I'll defend the critics in that Boondock Saints does kind of suck
I haven't watched Reagan yet, but that disparity makes me think the 18% is driven by a political disliking of Ronald Reagan whereas the 98% is driven by nostalgia for the 80s.
No doubt there was a hint of political bias involved in both of those ratings.
It can also be a case of some movies just getting review bombed on the audience score. That Reagan movie seems like one that got the treatment from both sides; panned by critics (probably unfairly), and clearly overcompensated on the audience score side. 98%? Really?
IMDB's got it at a 6.1, which feels way more reasonable.
Billy Madison and Super Troopers are both good examples of movies that aren't "good", but are highly entertaining.

IMDB is a much better barometer for movie ratings. RT is worthless.
Blade 2 has a rotten score on RT. That movie should be at a minimum, in the 80s.

Almost every Adam Sandler movie (well most of them anyway). Always make us laugh, critics hate. A lot of those 90's comedies are 'rotten' according to critics.
Rotten tomatoes is such a terrible metric in the first place If 1000 critics all agreed a movie was just the tiniest fraction below average, it would get 0% on RT. metacritic ftw

A 90% RT score doesn't necessarily mean it's an amazing movie, it means 9 out of 10 people liked it.
Dark Wolf is a prequel to Terminal List - I'd watch that first, if I had it to do all over again.
Metacritic is better.
