Before the show I said to my wife let's set the over/under of LGBT people at 4.5 and theater kids at 10.5. I purposefully set them high and I think we hit the over on both.

I love the show, but it's gone completely overboard with the DEI casting. The most "normal" white guy is a Canadian former stripper turned shoe thief.

I am watching the show. I just think the show is missing out on good characters by mostly casting the same type of people over and over again.

That is a totally different argument than what you presented before.

Yes, they like their characters that fit other profiles that have done well before.

He's a Cochran, he's a Jonathan, he's a Colton, she's a Ciries,, etc.

But to complain about gays and minorities, your message is completely lost.

Ok you can white knight me all you want. Making light of the fact the show is overly represented in certain demographics is not "complaining about minorities".

Need to get back to the good old days, 2 blacks and a gay guy and everyone else white as hell.

You clarified with a different reason, which I agree with.

Yes, complaining DEI is absolutely complaining about minorities.

You should really think about what you post and how it comes off if that's not your intent.

Some thoughts from last night's episode.

Jawan went from dead man walking to everybody's pal in record time. The loner who is always idol hunting is not a good look on Day 4.

I loved the severity of the disadvantage at the Immunity Challenge, even though Yellow overcame it and they should have put it on Blue if you were playing straight strategy since they already were weak and seemingly terrible to guarantee you didn't go to tribal.

Early returns - MC seems like a candidate for the strongest woman I've ever seen on Survivor. She went up that wall at the end like she was Spider-Woman. Then was yanking people up with ease. Really impressive to watch.

I wish I had include a point system for "screwed up metaphors" after Alex declared that Annie had tried to "Declare herself King Bee around here."

I was pretty impressed with Sophi's on the fly decision to try to steal Alex's HII for herself later, even though it didn't work out.

Shannon saying a prayer for the hermit crab before they ate it would have really pushed my ability to not be a massive smartass if I was a contestant.

Alternate Jason went through that puzzle like it was one of those wooden puzzles you had of farm animals as a toddler where there is only one obvious shape for each spot. His slight build might make him vicious in the balance and how long can you stand on this narrow ledge part of the individual game. Factor that with the way he is shredding puzzles and look out.

If you picked Jake and Alex in the game, I'm going to assign 10 extra points if they hook up and 25 points if Jake proposes at the season finale. Doing underwater handstands at the same time seemed like a lovely first date in the bromance.

Haven't watched the second episode yet, but I agree with those that said this is a bad cast. Way too many camp counselor/theatre kid types. It's been going that way for awhile, but man, I almost bailed on the season after the beach introductions bc the cast was so grating and annoying. I wish they would do some off the street casting so that it wasn't 90+% super fans every season.
