Looks cool and a period of history we didn't see much of anymore. There are reasons for that though: either you ignore slavery(which this looks like it does) and anger half the country, or you depict slavery and anger the other half. Kind of a lose-lose period to depict politically right now

However, any depiction of George Washington, among other founding fathers, has to decide how it will handle him owning slaves.

Applying 20th and 21th century sensibilities to social norms from 200+ years back is what dumb people do.
The last slave holders in the US were Native American tribes in the 1890's.
