Why is he being replaced?

There was a disagreement between him and Mike White during/after Season 3 and Cristobal said he wasn't doing Season 4 due to creative differences

More like he got notes from Mike White during post and was offended that he didn't have complete creative control of the music in the series.

Good lord, so 22 people cast so far with more to come. How big can the cast get before its just annoying dealing with 30 characters? Even assuming just 1/3 are "main" characters, its extremely difficult for 8-10 characters to have a satisfactory arc in only 6-8 episodes.

Interesting note...

The White Lotus Hotel in Taormina Sicily in S2 (Four Seasons San Domenico) has almost doubled in price since the show aired. Its also become a tourist attraction itself.
