Last time I went to Six Flags was in the 2000s. We had a team building there. Also the last time I rode a rollercoaster. It was one of the DC rides - maybe Batman? It was the one that goes from 0 to 1000mph immediately straight out of a stationary position. Snapped my head back and about gave me whiplash and a concussion. Seems highly dangerous. Felt like I had the **** beat out of me the next day after riding that. No more rollercoasters for me.

Did Dollywood in junior high or so. Don't recall too much about it other than it was in the woods. First time I ever had funnel cake and they a guy making/selling(?) black powder rifles so I hung around that for a while.

Think that is my freeze. Definitely not for me.

Let's go WAY back to the days of the Six Flags dolphin shows and Pac Man Land

I thought the dolphin shows were a figment of my imagination! I can remember going to them, but I thought for sure they weren't at Six Flags. Couldn't figure out where else they would have been, though.

Don't remember Pac Man land at all.

Pac Man woulda been... early to mid 80's (i know i have pictures of it somewhere during a birthday visit)...

I do wonder why they haven't torn down the old Batman arena, which just gathers trash now and is a big chunk of land that could easily house another attraction......

We went to Kings Island in Cincinnati a few years back. We had an awesome experience.

I worked at SFOT for a few months in high school in the mid 90s. I was a train conductor. Was miserable with the same little twerps that you saw everyday because people use it like a daycare when school is out.

Me too, summer of 1995

There was one at Astroworld close to the entrance. It was green, maybe called the viper or something like that?? Late 90s.

Fun but not too scary, except that my dumb HS self tried to touch the grass on a turn and DID. Palmed the ground and damn near pulled my shoulder out of socket. Good times.

Sandy Lake, lol.
Only time I went there was for middle school school concert band comps around '84-'85. That place was a dump then, but that didn't keep me from having fun.

Didn't have much in the way of rides - only remember a carousel - but did anyone visit Pennywhistle Park? Think it was in Garland, or near Garlannd, but I'm running off a memory from the late '70s.

Whoa I was going to bring up Pennywhistle Park earlier. At the corner of Plano Road and Northwest Highway in Lake Highlands. One of those places with amazing memories as a 5 year old but probably trashy as hell in reality.

lol it was my first job in summer of '95 as well. I was 15. I worked in the boomtown game booths. My parents had to drive me to and from work each shift. After about 3 weeks, I got a call one night asking "where are you?"

I told them that I was at home and they said we scheduled you from 9 pm to 3 am. I had no idea. I laughed and said "I don't have a car and my parents aren't picking me up at 3 am so I guess I quit?" I applied the next day to Winn Dixie and got a cashier job as I had "cash experience" from the Six Flags till.

Pennywhistle Park gave out wooden nickels for prizes. Cheapskates.
