Another raunchy comedy that doesn't get enough love, imo, is The Night Before. Rogen has turned into a blubbering vagina in real life, but his breakdown at Christmas Eve Mass while tripping balls is so freaking hilarious:

I think I was about 16 when I saw this movie and been in love with Tea Leoni ever since

8 Bit Christmas we enjoyed. We also like A Christmas Carol with George C Scott. That one has been in rotation for several years.

It's new compared to most Santa based Christmas movies and it's predictable, but we've enjoyed "The Santa Chronicles" the past few years.

The article is correct - removing the Pottersville part of the movie makes it non-sensical. It is the emotional core of the movie. But the article does give a reasonable explanation going back to when the movie was "in the public domain" due to losing its copyright protections - but the source short story that focused on Pottersville and musical store did not, so that was why the Pottersville part was removed.
