Watch the 1st, then skip to the 5th. IMO, the 1st is good but 2-4 suck. The franchise changes to action / heist films and becomes much better. It peaks at 7 but 8 is still good. 9 and 10 suck. If you aren't burned out by then, go back and watch 2-4, but they aren't really necessary to understand the later movies.

I didn't watch Tokyo Drift until after the 7th movie and was fine. These movies aren't complicated.
