I think at the very end when he said he was going to the WSOP, it should have shown a pic of him winning it all.

I think it should show him destitute and blowing some dude behind Circus Circus to build up the bankroll he lost his first night there

The scene just before that should be a stranger asking him for three stacks of high society.

I think they should have added ~30 minutes of Teddy KGB driving him to Vegas and talking funny the whole way. And then maybe throw in some lesbo stuff between Jo and Petra.

It's a good movie.
The Sting is the best gambling movie ever and it's not close.

never seen it. I will give it a try. Not my era. Kids today probably think 21 or Molly's Game is better than Rounders. I like them all. I probably know Rounders word for word though. I used to watch that while playing online poker. I eventually had to give up the online poker.

The scene after the credits should be Mike holding a smoking gun, crying, with a shot and bloodied worm on the ground.

I wouldn't consider The Sting a gambling movie. Heist, robbery, scam….sure.

But gambling? That's kind of like calling Casino Royale a gambling movie.

The Sting is the best gambling movie but Rounders is the best poker movie but there is a fantastic poker scene in The Sting where Newman absolutely cooks and Shaw is incredible too.

It's all of the above. If you don't consider a card shark assisting another con man to set up a fake horse race to grift a bunch of money to include gambling in the plot, then we'll just have to agree to disagree.

yeah, I wondered this for a long time. I think I look her up every time I watch this movie. She kinda disappeared. I didn't watch Boardwalk Empire so no idea what her part was.

She played Kevin Costner's character's wife in flashback in Yellowstone, I think. Aged like fine wine, IMO.
