I know...not sure why we waited this long, but my wife and I are enjoying it. In season 3 right now.

My question is, should we stick with it? Is it worth it?

There so much stuff out there to watch these days....

We just finished it. I think season 4-7 are not great, and at least in my case, I grew to really dislike the protagonist. There were a few times I was secretly wishing someone would take her out. Season 8 picks up and the finale last episode was probably one of the best in the entire show. In my opinion, it's worth a watch and sticking to it.

Yeah it's worth it. After the first 2 or 3 seasons it's a generic cia spy show but still better than most tv shows.

It's a good show until you get completely tired of the sobbing and over the top breakdowns from the main character. I had to stop three seasons in

She really ruined the show for me. She was so irritating.

What bugged me more than anything was how her daughter was less than an accessory in the show. When did she plan on visiting her daughter??

Yeah I don't get it. Does she appeal to suburban white women and beta husbands? She's utterly terrible to watch.

She was terrible when she was a teen too.

I stuck it back when it was on Showtime (?) years ago. Overall I liked it, did get tired of her crying all the time.

This is a good summary. Really drags in the later seasons, and some of the plot lines are not very compelling.

Series finale was one of the better ones out there for a show in this genre.

I don't really recall how the last several seasons went. It's all a bit over the top, but it remained decent till end. Nothing amazing but not bad either.

If I watched and enjoyed the first four seasons, could I watch just the finale without missing much (without watching the seasons I missed)?

I suppose you could, but you'd really have no context in the characters or the plot. Season 8 is not bad. The finale is really good. Seasons 4-7 will just cause you to hate Carrie, but we suffered through it anyway.

Watched it all but dont remember a lot other than it started strong, ended decent, and the middle was mediocre and even bad at times. I do also remember thinking it was highly unrealistic for the CIA to maintain any kinda relationship with Carrie based on her repeated mental issues. Lotsa suspending of reality.

Watched it a while ago. Forgot how much I disliked her quivering lower lip and crying and began Beast In Me. Would not have kept on if that series was more than one season .

Stick with it. 1-3 were great, I really liked 4 and 5 but I know some didn't, 6 and 7 were definitely the low point but they were still worth watching. 8 was awesome and the finale was one of my favorites of any tv show.

Just accept that Carrie is not a likeable character. That doesn't change.

I am going to wait until and unless we take out the Islamic Republic weapons programs.

until then, it is just annoying watching Hollywood come up with made up scenarios- while in the real world the Iranian mullahs were a few weeks from getting nukes.
