I'm not sure who is more distracting to a show with their surgery, Starlight or Eleven. Both just crazy that they do that to themselves.
My wife's niece has Graves. It's so bad, one day of missing her medicine and she is hospitalized. All seriousness aside, it has not changed her physically one bit in terms of her face.
I think Erin has the disease and also did surgery. Certainly nothing wrong with both but Hollywood never wants to admit anyone has had work done.

When the two teen heroes appeared in the clip (mocking the flight 37 footage as AI generated) and then again to assist Soldier Boy in tracking Hughey and Kimiko, I wasn't sure if the male (Slipstream) was Sam (the crazy brother of Golden Boy).
Honestly they made Marie too powerful. At this point it doesn't make sense at all that she exists and isn't just the immediate solution to homelander. Keep homelander distracted for one second and she can take control of and modify any cell in his body.
I guess they could throw in some reason that his cellular structure is different and resistant because he was given the V as an embryo.

Yes, but they're about to drop a prequel - Vought Rising - so I guess it wasn't out of the question that they could have kept Gen V going, other than the fact that it's not very good

Yeah Gen V was 100% garbage. I hope Vought Rising is good though. I've been loving this last season and some of the lore being divulged.
I'm still holding out hope that they will wrap this up in a satisfying way, but it seems like they are limping to the finish with these last few episodes.
Yeah, it seems like their prime focus is on political commentary and extreme vulgarity rather than character development and any sort of satisfying end to all of this.
Agreed. And I understand that politics and shock value is part of the comics as well but the show runners used to do a much better job of balancing those with actual storytelling. I think Kripke is trying too hard to keep pushing the Trump/Homelander thing at the expense of character development and moving the story.
Terror segment was the best of the bunch.

really enjoyed the most recent episode, especially the extended cameo of Rogen, McLovin, Will Forte, and the rest. Forte kinda stole the show celebrating that Bill Hader had been killed and bragging that had turned in Channing Tatum.

Strange episode. They had never done one of the tatantino different points of view of the same scene before. Or maybe Guy Ritchie. Anyway, felt strange to mix in this new format this far into the series and this close to the end. And, it didn't really progress the plot any. Just felt like they let someone else write an episode, just for fun.
Anyway, Anthony Starr is so freaking good. Wonder what his next big role will be.

That was great, and McLovin talking about turning in Michael Cera because he really needs a part they're both up for.
The whole celebrity thing cracked me up and I couldn't stop laughing at the stupidity of using them as a human shield and then getting exploded. Honestly the reason I'm sure they had soldier boy do it all instead of homelander is just more fan service for supernatural fans. Sam/Dean/Castiel back together briefly.

In almost every episode this season, Homelander shows a bit of a weakness, something we never saw outside of Hughie, Butcher, and Soldier Boy almost beating him in Season 3.
To wit:
In Episode 1, Starlight blinds him for several seconds when they rescue the guys from the camp.
In Episode 2, Oh Father's weird power affects Homelander, sending him into the vision of Elisabeth Shue
In Episode 3 - Nothing I can think of. Ryan gets a few good licks in during the fight.
In Episode 4 - Soldier Boy traps him in the uranium room and he gets really sick and can't escape for several hours
In Episode 5 - Malchemical knocks him out with his stank break and he's out for at least 5-10 minutes.
Coincidence? Or is there something larger at play here? Is Homelander sick and we don't know it?

Pretty intense final scene to today's episode, amping up my hopes that it is a very dark ending to the show.

So is Starlight ever going to do anything with her powers? Feels like she gets her teeth kicked in against every supe she goes up against, including the Preacher guy. She did beat up The Deep that one time though. I guess the same could be said about Kimiko too.
