Homelander is going to do a lot of killing

The spoof of the He Gets Us commercial with Hozier Take Me to Church was spot on. First time I've busted out laughing this season. The old man balls were funny as well.

This one episode made up for the entire season and had lots more complexity and double crossing and all that.

Not sure how they are going to wrap this up in two episodes other than Homelander killing himself. Supe suicide would be an interesting ending.

Although Soldier Boy can take his super power. Not sure how that worked regarding Bombsight...

Finally, an episode in the final season that moves the story forward in a big way. Ready for these last two episodes!

One more note, I thought Paul Reiser's season with Homelander was fantastic. Reiser should get a Emmy "guest appearance" nod for that. He's had a really interesting late-career swerve with his roles on this and Stranger Things.

The lasers were a temporary power. The tentacles are a mutation from taking the temp V too many times. The plot hole is that it seemed like it was about to kill him and he could barely walk, and now he seems just fine, while still dying according to Homelander.

Yeah, it certainly seemed like Butcher was going to drop dead at the end of Season 4, then he "embraced the power" or something and now seems borderline unstoppable. Hughie appears to have no residual damage other than a bad haircut and dating a hunk of plastic.

Watched the trailer for the next episode and will not be happy if the ****** gen v characters show up and do anything other than get killed in the most ridiculous ways

I don't think you have to spoiler tag that the gen V kids suck. I want Butcher to send them alll charging through a door and Homelander lasers all of their heads off.

I love that the Deep has survived this entire chaos. The 7 is now the 3 - him, Homelander, and Soldier Boy. The Deep is like Tom Wamsgams taking over at the end of Succession.

Maybe the deep can find a way to melt the polar ice caps and put the whole world underwater. He'd be happy as a clam

Welp, at least we'll always have the first 3 seasons to look back fondly on.

Too many shows, not enough quality writers. TV has/already reached quantity over quality.

I don't know the first thing about writing/directing a tv show but the recent inability of show runners (Stranger Things, GoT, The Boys) to come up with meaningful endings that make any sense needs to be studied.

Last scene: Marie and Jordan living in a very nice rural home.

More agitation on my part as I get distracted from work.

1. MM should have told Starlight, "Hey how many pep talks are you going to need before you start doing something? - One from him, one from her dad, one from Hughie all within episodes, jeez.

2. Frenchie pulls a Jack from Titanic and doesn't even bother getting in the zinc box ? If homelander is coming for me, I'm shoving my fat ass in there any which way I can.

3. Further more, Homie can't see through zinc, can he not smell or hear through it either? He's been working in the same room with Sage for months or years and he can't smell her or hear her heart beating?

The last episode was 70 minutes long and the only plot that moved forward was killing Frenchy. If Kimiko magically has Soldier Boy's power and takes down Homelander in the final episode after the mere idea of that being a possibility was introduced in the second-to-last episode, it might well challenge Game of Thrones for worst finale of a huge show in the 21st century.

What has really nagged me lately is the ridiculous simplicity of a couple of fights. The Deep kills Noir in like10 seconds. Noir is strong and can fly and goes out just like that. Same with Homelander getting the drop on Soldier Boy in the last episode. SB is unconscious in like 8 seconds. Definitely feels like they're constantly changing power levels for convenience.
