I just read that some streets around my town are going to be closed this week for the filming of Frisco King. I know they've filmed a bunch of stuff for Landman and other shows in and around DFW. Anyone on here go check out the shoots? I don't really care about "seeing the stars" but I think it would be interesting to see how TV shows are actually made; although, I also feel like it's probably a bunch of people standing around for three hours to watch two minutes of filming. Anyone go checkout any of these?

I was an extra (sitting in the Fouts Field stands at NTSU) for a game scene for Necessary Roughness.
Was there a few hours... we had to sign off on a release form before taking our seats. I recall we got a box lunch for a meal.
At shoot's end I went on the field... I recall seeing the comedian Sinbad.
I wanted to see Kathy Ireland (she played a place kicker), but she was not at that day's shoot.
I still have the props they gave us .... was a hat wit a "sTu" Texas St. Univ. Armadillos logo

My cousin was an extra, last season.
We got a letter asking for approval to film Frisco King at one of my accounts so I had to get the dealer owner of the property to approve it and he is getting paid to shut down his business for a day. I'm thinking about showing up on the day of filming and see if I can get in a background shot.

No. Samuel L. Jackson is the main character. I think the story line is that he moves to Frisco from New Orleans.
One night my dad took me and my bro to downtown Houston to see them filming a scene in Robocop 2 that someone had told my pops about. I was probably 7 or 8. We had to stand a few blocks away and it was the most boring and anticlimactic things I have ever been a part of.
I think my bro and I went in with unrealistically high expectations, hoping to see Robocop bodyslam some bad guys, or something - anything blowing up.
I can't even remember what eventually hapened but it was over in the blink of an eye after lots of waiting and the shoot was wrapped. I remember my dad finding it a lot more interesting than we did. Probably because, as an adult, he had this thing called "patience".

A gentleman I did community theater with went to be an extra in Rushmore and one other film. They ended up putting him in a scene with maybe a line or two.

I'm there somewhere in the scene at Ratliff Stadium at the Permian spring game in the series pilot. I'm standing on the track about 50 feet away from the stud quarterback Dakota Loving that the daughter was dating (banging) in the first couple of episodes..
I've got a family member who has been shooting with SLJ on the new show. He's pretty pumped about it.

Pretty certain Lioness was filming near the discovery district a few months ago as I walked into the office. But not on the streets but in one of the hotels
One of my accounts in DFW is going to be the site of filming for Frisco King. I had to get the owner to allow filming and he is being paid to close up for a day. I was thinking about stopping in and trying to get a spot as an extra.

Lioness had me add an extra fifteen minute commute to work after dropping kid off at his school. I was glad when they opened University back up by Amon Carter end of that week.
Two weeks ago I get up to grab a coffee at 5AM and tons of security shuttling people to the Keller baseball fields where they film some of Frisco.
