I know dick about the Tonys. I saw a headline somewhere that said musicals this season were trash, but plays were good.

That's the extent of my contribution.

Was not a strong musical season this year. Very strong year for the plays though. (Any variation of Cats winning an award tells you all you need to know)

Death of a salesmen with Nathan lane was incredible.

Heading up tomorrow to see Two People doing something with a wedding cake, Operation Mincemeat, and Hadestown (again). Looking forward to spending lots of money and being trampled when the Knicks win the championship Thursday night.

Good friend of mine- his daughter was nominated for best lighting on Dog Day Afternoon.

I saw Chess at the Imperial Theatre last week.

It's not one I'm going to recommend to people but the cast was great. Good performances, bad script.

I think only one person out of the 10-12 winners did that on the telecast. The rest just thanked their families and peers.

Yes! Why I stopped watching and will never go back. They can have it. I used to watch the Tonys every year. But I'm glad Joshua Henry won a Tony.

I have it taped so I can watch the performances later. Joshua Henry and Cassie Levy were locks for their Tonys. I loved the Ragtime revival but I was spoiled by the original Broadway cast. Marin Mazzie and Audra McDonald in that show were the best performances I have ever seen live.

Glad you loved Mincemeat - I saw it twice with the OBC and it is probably a top 3 favorite show of mine now. I wore that soundtrack out after I saw the show in August I would love to see the new cast but doubt I'll be up in NYC again this year.

Man I missed out on Mincemeat last week I guess.

I saw Chess and Harry Potter and the cursed child (had to see tom Felton and got to meet him at the stage door)

The first time I saw it, I needed all of intermission to recover, I got so emotional. The closing number gets me too. I talked to Jak Malone at the stage door and said "it's my second time seeing the show and I thought I was ready …and still buckets of tears". He laughed and said "You're never ready for it." It's amazing that the actor playing Hester also has some of the most loony-tune madcap moments too. Such a fun, smart and touching show.

Sam Tutty had the night off - big disappointment UNTIL his standby took the stage. He was amazing. It's a great show with tons of laughs.
