You have to feel for Wade. You can tell he is just a good ol' boy/country bumpkin and all of this was way out of his league. Also, every time you think there was no way the lies could get worse, they get 10x worse. Especially the one she told to the lady who lost her young daughter. She is one of the worst human beings I've seen in a documentary.

This is a pretty great deep dive into all this. Many more details about her first two marriages and how crazy she was with those unlucky dudes.

I don't know about Wade. Yes he is just a good ol boy but he got wrapped up with a horrible human being because he let himself get bought by a bunch of redneck toys. He had only dated the woman for a few months when she bought him a $70k truck, a tractor, etc and promised to buy him his dream ranch. I got the sense he wasn't 100% sold on her but he thought he won the cowboy lottery when she asked him out. He could have shown more sense than that. The mom accepting a $25k car from a girl that had only been dating her son a few months was absurd as well.

Bud was poor oilfield trash and he realized rich girl Pam wasn't good for him and went back to Sissy but in this case the riches were a sham.

Did they ever say how she paid for the truck, tractor, mule, etc or were they repo'd along with the car?

I've wondered that as well. They had to all be repossessed.

Listened to a podcast about Maternal Instincts. In it they also mentioned "Worst Ex Ever" on Netflix. Watched Ep 1 of S2 last night. Ooh boy. That guy gives old Taylor a run for the money in the human garbage department.

He was still driving the truck on the day she killed the woman and baby. You can see it in the gas station videos when he's on his way to deliver the pigs.

I'm guessing that video was part of the evidence they pulled to prove that he wasn't there when she did it and thus it was part of the court record.

It may have been repo'd after that but he had it most of that year at least.

I read she made him buy that truck but promised to pay it off once she got her inheritance money.

DeKalb and New Boston area mostly. Her doctor (the one interviewed on the show) is in Mt Pleasant. The bomb threat she called in was to Titus Regional Medical Center in MP (now owned by Cristus).

Right, but how do you get off the lot with a truck, a tractor, plus the other vehicles and toys in their situation? A dealership isn't going to go on the promise of an inheritance, and it didn't seem like they made enough to qualify.

I listened to a podcast that said she talked him into taking out a bunch of loans for the truck and toys with the promise of paying it off once her inheritance came in.

Amazing the hold that some women can put on men. I'd like to think that I might have said "let's tap the brakes here and just wait for that inheritance." But she knew she was dealing with a sweet, naive, puppy dog of a guy I guess.

She's already had a few boyfriends while in prison and has them coming up with plans to break her out. She's also contacted the FBI (or tried to) about becoming an informant and ratting out all the people in prison.

She's still nuts.

I know someone with NPB. Takes no responsibility for her actions and all about manipulating people to her benefit. Extremely smart and works hard, but her family is in shambles.

People with NPD basically hate themselves and admitting wrong will generate their biggest fear: rejection.

It's a really weird mental condition that's only been understood over the last 20 years. Think of people that have burned through 5+ marriages.

Made the mistake of watching this. Bothered me more than any horror film I have ever seen. Blows my mind that people find this kind of film entertaining. I guess it's entertainment until it's your family. So sad

What's NPB? Not sure Nippon Professional Baseball has anything to do w/this movie.
