Does anyone have information on how they use to build the bonfire?

We cut down trees in the woods, loaded them on trucks, drove the trucks, unloaded the trucks, stacked them together (the trees not the trucks), tied them together, then set them on fire.

that sounds amazingly similar to the way it was done as recent as last year

axes--->trees--->trucks--->campus--->polo fields--->around centerpole--->up about 80 feet and around about 200 feet--->wire--->fire--->repeat

in some cases, location is everything preshy

Its sad that all of Square's negativity towards student bonfire, doesn't even stem from bonfire. It stems from an individual event unrelated to bonfire.
So, he dislikes one guy that used to do bonfire, therefore student bonfire is now "baaaaaaad"

Square your posts are nothing but negativity. And since your so into majority opinions, I'm willing to bet the vast majority of viewers and posters here agree that, regardless if they think you're right or wrong, your posts are almost always negative towards student bonfire.

and square- if your into bonfire for anything other than the spirit that cuts it, stacks it, and watches it burn down so it can be done all over again, your in it for the wrong reason.

C'mon people, was the comment really that negative or do you read the user name and assume it is negative no matter what was written.

I don't care who said it. The whole thing was a snipe that's been used by more than one person before. I'm not reading anything into it, hell I only looked at the username on the first comment after I read it.

I must not get something, because the first comment doesn't make much sense to me at all.

And the 2nd is merely pointing out a true fact.

preshy made the comment that it sounded awfully familiar, and he came back with "location is everything". It's all the same game, "your not aggie bonfire because it's not on campus". Same song, same dance in his case.

But what about either comment is untrue?

Because location is not everything in this instance.

Regardless of the intentions of the comment, Student Bonfire lives on and I'll be out there building the hell for one last year as a student.

I think the issue is that L7's comment is not in anyway related to the question asked and the response preshy made. Thus it was perceived as an opportunistic jab at Bonfire.

which was answered by a couple of people who made mention of the method. preshy commented that the method used in the past is very similar to the method used in the present. L7 then responded that location matters. This is, in fact, not true and is irrelevant when discussing the method used in building Bonfires past and present. TruAg04 can easily show his brother how Bonfire used to be built by showing him how it is built today. Location =/= method.

I have met L7 and I believe that, in general, he does not hold any ill will toward Bonfire or those who build it. That being said, I do not see why he felt the need to comment on this thread. It was quite the non sequitur.
