Injury at cut today?

I've heard conflicting stories. Is the KBTX story inaccurate?
A kid got hurt, was taken to the hospital. He is alright.
Why so vague? What happened? Could it have been prevented?
"A log falling on his leg" is pretty specific about his injury. What more do you want?
The answers to the two questions I asked. That's why I asked them.

Accidents happen. However, it is the priority of every bonfire participant and leader at every level to reduce risks of injury and accidents.

He's fine. The air evac wasn't necessary, but it's a rough road and that was the quickest solution. Calm down, just wait for an official release.
So the answer to my question is that you don't know.

I have a pretty good idea of what happened, but because I'm not 100% sure of it's accuracy I would rather not spread rumors.
Arch, yes gravity does happen. And with this very matter, it's cost us very dearly in the past.

No one wants to get you riled up with fuzzy details that even we're not sure of.
even with risk management things still happen. this was one of those things. that's why it's called an accident.
SquareOne is right (from the other thread) in that just calling it 'an accident' doesn't mitigate the dangers or risks involved.

im not gonna get into this on here just yet because as stated earlier, details are sketchy and i dont wanna spread rumors... but i will say that the guy was making jokes about having never flown in a helicopter when he found out one was on its way
