Where did we get the "Silver" part of that name?

Is that just named from the chrome bugles? excuse my stupidness- i graduated from here eons ago and never asked the question...

It is named after the special version of Taps played at the ceremony.

There is a poem entitled "Silver Taps" where one line reads...'Raising silver trumpets to their lips.' All about tradition at our place. I felt priviledged to fire at Muster and light the bonfire.
