Dumpster, don't be a hypocrite. If you're trying to suggest that that sort of thing didn't happen in the 90's, I'm not sure which "real bonfire" you were going to. I think we can all agree that the actions of these kids were risky, irresponsible, and not to be taken lightly, but to use this situation as a condemnation of Student Bonfire is more than a little unfair. As long as I've been associated with it, Student Bonfire has always worked very closely with county officials and operated within the full extent of the law. And like it or not, it is "real" Bonfire and a hell of a lot more "real" than anything will ever be on campus again.
I hope to see these kids make a full recovery and to see the organization learn from this unfortunate event to continute to perpetuate the spirit of Aggie Bonfire.
