In 2005, Moses stole Crocker's flag; they had to run back to the dorm to get their flag from the previous year. It was quite the show.

Never mind the mule being blind, just load the ******* wagon.

1999 - ...and Walton (ish).

17 Loaded with Walton. It was pretty well common knowledge that Walton earned Centerpole, so when 17 got it, they snuck a blue "W" on the flag. Arouna "Boo Boo" Davies traded a Load shirt for an outfit shirt with one of their guys. That was a big gesture, a pretty big deal to both sides.

So in 2001, Boo Boo and I ran for yell (Sr. and Jr. respectively). 17 set right to breaking the Corps block. K2, who dormed with E2, joined in putting posters all over and around the Deuce while block posters mysteriously disappeared. With 17 leading the way, it became such a problem that at chow one night, an incumbent Yell boy addressed the Corps and told them "Just go to Northside and have a look at this 'Boo' guy. Just look at him. Then tell me who you really want to vote for." With the help of that rousing little speech, I believe Boo Boo secured half the block and eventually won Yell boy where he would cut a figure not unlike an inside-out Little Debbie snack cake.

Bonfire, Load and Centerpole '99 didn't just trump the Corps block, it turned it around on itself. Said a lot about where a maroon-blooded Aggie's loyalties really lie when you get down to it.

Anyway, good story, me.

No sh*t, huh, DM? I had never heard that. Very cool indeed, though.

Me neither. It was way before my time.

Very cool, indeed.
