I would venture a guess that if it weren't on the web site, there are probably reasons and they would likely be safety and financial.
If it were on the web site, that would mean that they were having a public "Event" and they would incur the full litany of expenses along with tackling the two-week preparation and forms-processing period. And with the yellows and oranges creeping back in to the KBDI map, you have to wonder what the safety situation could possibly be in two weeks.

You heard that Bonfire burns this Saturday (today) or next?
Apparently it is tonight. I saw a couple FB statuses confirming. Too bad I found out too late.
Set to burn at 9:00 tonight according to Facebook.

I know that people will be there in the morning, but will spectators be allowed to view the stack in the morning like at around 7 or 8 a.m.?
Is stack still up (not center pole) but the actual stack? Or has it fallen apart?
Centerpole fell at 11:54. There's still a good fire going and most of fifth tier is still standing solid.

I've got no idea. You can definitely see the fire from Old Hearne Road/OSR (or could last night, at least). Not sure about what they're doing as far as leaving stack site itself open or not.
