Went to Silver Taps tonight... and albeit not my 1st time... it was powerful.
Because of the hail, they moved it into G Rol...
And because the Brownpots asked me to meet up with them and we met up with Todd's family, we were on the floor. Smack dab in the center of G Rol...
Even with the weather, there were tons of Ags who came. It was full except for about 2 or 3 or so sections.
Then the RVs marched in. I've always thought their march in on the Academic Plaza sounded like a heartbeat, but with the echo in G Rol, it was even more so. The 21 gun salute was about 10 times louder than normal and the acoustics for the Taps cadence was nice.
Apparently this is one of the only, if not the only time that Silver Taps has had to be moved because of inclement weather. It was a neat experience.
You have to know Todd was smiling down. It was a special Silver Taps for a special guy.
