the fine can be up to 500, as i understand it......but that doesnt mean it will be 500......

just wait and see what happens....i have a feeling that there won't be as much fine $ going around as they are making it out to be.....

Again, if there are fines--please students register to vote and vote the sherriff out of office.

If the eagle article is right, this sherriff needs to be voted out. Seems he is who wanted the injunction to begin with--at least I read that somewhere.

He is also a NON Aggie.

3GA, you can't really fault Sheriff Kirk for wanting to enforce the law. He's a good, honest guy -- I can't believe that he had any malice in his actions.

However, you can fault the three commissioners who couldn't find the time to meet today so that they could add an exception to the burn ban rule. My frustration lies with them.

If he thinks that putting his staff out there writing tickets is more important that patrolling for serious crime I do blame him. One article said he is the one that asked for the injunction.

He is looking to shut down bonfire forever since a single no revenue year will probably do these kids in financially.

So if I volunteer to pay $500 can I light bonfire!?

Dan, I'd be careful.

They may have not met on purpose to keep the injunction from being upheld.

We don't know that full story.

We can deal with fines much easier than a prison sentence.
