Rivalries are all well and good but this horn wanted to stop by and pay my respects to those who died and were touched by the awful event not long ago. As I read the multiple "tu sucks" and "tu is satan" threads, I can't help but wonder if any of you realize there were hundreds of "tu students" who lined-up to donate blood....or happened to see the "tu band members" who played amazing grace at halftime with tears in their eyes.
Save your venom and hate for real enemies like Osama. I love UT, and love our rivalry, but I also realize it's just a game. Some of y'all have a lot of growing up to do. Here's to hoping your bonfire goes well and no one gets hurt.

Our rivalry is a true one because when it comes down to it, we respect you. Or maybe I do.

Maybe that's just because my best friend's a 'sip.

But, I don't believe that the outpouring of support will be forgotten. See, it's reasons like these that we respect you. We respect you enough to call you a rival.

Baylor and Tech each claim a rivalry with us. Personally, I don't respect either of those schools enough to verify that claim.

However, since I do not know you, I'm going to give you the benefit of the doubt. Surely you're smart enough to know that a few bone-headed internet bulletin board posters DO NOT represent the views of all (or even most) Aggies.

On the playing field, I can not stand the Longhorns. It's nothing personal...it's just a sports rivalry thing. It's what rivals do.

I assure you that all Aggies are very appreciative of what some UT fans did for us back in '99. But I also assure you that there were plenty of a-hole Longhorn fans that took the Bonfire tragedy as an opportunity to fire a bevy of low-class pot shots at Texas A&M.

This hole "Team X sucks" thing works both ways and as I mentioned before, I'm going to give you the benefit of the doubt and assume you know that. No doubt there are a handful of moronic A&M fans on these boards. But there is also no doubt that there are an equal number of morninc UT or UT-wannabe fans acting every bit as hateful and belligerent as these brain dead Aggies.

Again, thanks for the kind words...just keep in mind that the ridiculous narrow-mindedness is a 2-way street.
