The Bible is literally Jesus?

I've heard this twice this weekend. Can anyone enlighten me as to which denomination believes this? It appears to be a misunderstanding of "the Word of God" being Jesus, and "the word of God" that's contained in the inspired books that make up the Bible.

It appears that there are at least some Christians who believe Jesus is literally the Bible.

Has anyone ran across this before?

In my opinion, idolatry of the Bible. The Bible itself says Jesus did way more than what was recorded. Jesus nor the Bible ever said He was the written Word. He was the Word that was spoken.

Terrible tag line in all possible ways.

Hebrews 1:1-2
"Long ago, at many times and in many ways, God spoke to our fathers by the prophets,
2 but in these last days he has spoken to us by his Son…"

Jesus is the Word made flesh
The Bible is truly God's Word

Both of these things can be true without believing Jesus is literally the Bible, or vice versa

Not sure which denomination believes this. Where else have you heard this?

God's revelation is not God (edited). The Bible is not the incarnation. It seems like a kind of hyperbolic rhetorical attempt to impress the importance of the Bible. It's unnecessary and inappropriate.

As I'm writing this, I think what they may be doing is treating it like a math equation. Something like, Jesus represents the fullness of God's revelation. The Bible is God's revelation. The Bible IS Jesus.

So, the Bible has always been?

John 1:1-2
The Word Became Flesh
In the beginning was the Word, and the Word was with God, and the Word was God. He was in the beginning with God.

Maybe this person is tripping over their words or maybe they are some kind of gnostic.
