So, based on my study, the Rapture of the Church is the next event on the prophetic chart, It could happen today, in a month, or in 92 years. (I'm Class of '92) "No man knows the day or hour."

We DO, however, know the "season." The season is outlined in Matthew 24:32 - Now learn this lesson from the fig tree: As soon as its twigs get tender and its leaves come out, you know that summer is near. Even so, when you see all these things, you know that it is near, right at the door. I tell you the truth, this generation will certainly not pass away until all these things have happened."

Israel became a nation in 1948.

This year, they are 77 years old - the same age Jacob (Israel) was when he married. A generation in Israel is sometime between 77 and 84 years, and their current average life expectancy in Israel (as of this year) is 83.7 years.

Or, there isn't a "rapture".

What is the Rapture? Part 1

What is the Rapture? Part 2

Based on scripture it seems like folly to try to predict the rapture.

I agree with this. There is kind of a "rapture" when Christ returns (as mentioned in your link) but I do not think it is a separate event.
And trying to predict the timing is foolish in my opinion. Or at least it is way above my pay grade. But I am not an engineer so there is that.

The cynic in me makes me wonder why they needed so many books and movies to tell what they believed. Lots of money made off of bad theology.

To be more helpful:

No one is exempt from the general resurrection and the general judgment. Belief in the rapture means that some people do - which is quite problematic

Yeah, I tried to tell my Priest that protestants out there still believe in the Rapture. He was stunned and thought that no one believed that any more.

Stunning that people still believe this.

THE RAPTURE DIDN'T EXIST UNTIL A SCIENCE FICTION WRITER WROTE ABOUT IT IN THE LATE 19TH CENTURY.

How is this still a thing?

You even quote Jesus says only the Father knows when the Son returns, then give your theory that it will be in 6.7 years. You jinx it! Now He can't return then because you predicted it!

The only thing between today and the return of Jesus is the return of Jesus.

Rapture
His 2nd coming --- Resurrection --- Judgement --- Eternity

Rapture - not biblical. Origin = misinterpreted scripture and embellished by John Nelson Darby fooled by a child's fictional dream, a Jesuit's phony prophecy and his own imagination. Left Behind...fictional money maker...pure heresy.

Oh, I didn't say my "jimmies were rustled".

What did you find irreverent?

The fact that some Protestant people believe in a sci-fi story and have confused it with their religion?

Or do you find me rapture /flat earth and hollow earth simultaneously (a bundle the three together as they are all equally idiotic) to be credible and that was irreverent?

I haven't seen any of your irreverent things on this thread, other than the fact that some people believe in the rapture.

This guy does a nice job of explaining why he feels there is no such thing. Also, by the way his Revelation video series is very good

I don't know about a rapture but your timeline aligns with the fourth turning perfectly.

I don't know when it's happening but I know Dude is about 20 years late. Better late than never though, and this place is past ready.

I don't think I'm going to get to go with the cool kids but I'll be able to enjoy shorter lines at the store and less traffic so I guess win win.

I'm not trying to predict a date (day or hour), I think we all know that's against what the bible teaches. I'm referring to the "timing" as being in the "season" - which I think we are in now.
