The Trotter Prize is awarded by Texas A&M University annually to leading scholars who address science, philosophy, and religion. On Wednesday, March 4, two awardees will be honored at Texas A&M and deliver the Trotter Lecture Series. Last year, we had Dr. Richard Dawkins and Dr. Roz Picard in a great event!

This year's awardees are:
  • Dr. Michael Egnor is an award-winning Professor of Neurosurgery and Pediatrics at Stony Brook University and is recognized as one of New York's top doctors and co-authored The Immortal Mind (Worthy, 2025).
  • Dr. Iain McGilchrist is a renowned psychiatrist, author and philosopher whose acclaimed books, such as The Master and His Emissary, explore the intersection of mind, brain and culture. He continues to write and lecture internationally from the Isle of Skye.
These two great scholars will talk about their work at 7 p.m. in the Memorial Student Center (MSC 2300 D and E). A reception with assorted snacks and desserts will follow immediately afterward. The entire campus community is invited. Tickets are free! Register for the event here: http://tx.ag/trotter2026
