Not sure if asked before. Apologies if it has.

1: Do you?
2: Guess on how many you think are at any service .

I will start.

1: Yes
2: Too few.

I struggle with this but it is where I am at. I have no problem being martyred. Won't stand by and watch someone else is.

Also on a completely different topic.

Who else thinks it is so freaking awesome the first person revealed himself to is a Samaritan AND a woman?

Our congregation is typically under 200 people. I can think of 10 people in my congregation carrying at any given time. Working towards my permit, yet technically not needed here in FL. In theory we can open carry, however that's frowned upon at Mass due to some people's comfort levels.

We have several unofficial protocols... midway through Mass, certain doors are locked from the outside thus limiting to one entry point. Also, a few of us keep note of new people in the congregation on any given Sunday... mostly due to the FBI memo on "Traditional Catholics" from the Biden administration. After Mass, one or two men typically greet newcomers and invite to coffee and donut hour. Typically, the visitors are local college kids. There was a family from Wisconsin that popped in one Sunday... several of us traded notes on preferred handguns, rifle, and assorted shooting accessories.

Technically she was at least third or fourth. Mary, then Joseph understood that Jesus was the messiah.

That reading got me thinking about the role of women in the spreading of the gospel, because Mary of Magdalene was the first person who saw the resurrected Jesus.

Our typical Sunday service is around 600. Back when the church shootings where in the news our Senior Pastor addressed 'this same situation to the congregation

Every Sunday we have 3 LEOs on duty. Our congregation has ,at any given time, 12-15 off duty LEOs including 2 FBI agents. The Pastor encourages concealed carry and asked politely that members refrain from open carry.

I did not include his family because I didn't think it was necessary.

That is a given.

Outside of his inner circle during his earthly ministry, she was the first one not with the low down.

Well.. Simeon and Anna at his presentation in the temple- but yeah, from the standpoint of Jesus revealing himself as the Messiah- I agree she would be the first human, except for Satan who figured out Jesus was the messiah and begged to be sent into a bunch of wild pigs.

I live in California and had a tragic boating accident on my way over here. So no, I do not. That being said, when I move back to Texas, and if I can recover my guns from the bottom of the lake, then I will.

1. No (because of where I live)
2. Doubt anyone (again, because of local laws and cultural views)
