I appreciate your willingness to do that. I will try to find the sermon audio from the excerpt you mentioned and take a listen myself. I feel like I have before but I cannot recall it. If I can make sense of it I will report back.

Thanks. From my reading it sounds very out of character for him.

Can we say bad things about Paul Washer going to tu?

feeling joy at the death of terrible awful people is a very human thing...for which we should repent of.

IMO, when I see people celebrating the death of people like Osama Bin Laden, Hussein, etc, I feel that it is a clear example of the sinful nature of humanity..that despite everything we Christians know about what God wants for His creation and the love he has for each of His children, we can celebrate the death of those who almost certainly did not know Him and will likely not feel the joy of eternal life.

Lord have mercy!!

I am conservative as they come but Trump celebrating Mueller's death is not Christ like in my opinion.

I mean, neither is the way he pets his cat, so, I'm not surprised.

I think he understands that he is likely alive by divine appointment, but that doesn't mean he thinks he's a Christian.

Celebrating the fact that someone dangerous died and is no longer dangerous is different than celebrating the fact that he is dead.

Death is a tragedy, but, sometimes it is the lesser of other potential tragedies.

Just to go polemic, the only thing worse than Hitler dying in 1945 would have been him not dying in 1945.

You only posted this (as I could find) on the Religion board. With your stature I challenge you to stand up as a true Christian and tell the Politics Board the same.

I agree fully. You play to the crowd of the given board. As in Gladiator, playing to the mob, and the mob is fickle. Tell the Politcis Board they are not following Christ's teachings. I would (and have) but they seem to delete my comments and I for some reason can't post for a while. You either believe in Christ and his teachings or you just do when convenient. You are the board superstar so are you afraid to profess your beliefs to any and all.

**** - that's not for the Tclte guy but for dermdoctor.

My only "stature" comes from my identity in Christ. I will post where and when I want. And I do not have to prove I am a "true Christian" to any man.

Since you claim I "play to the crowd" I asked them and you get a thumbs down. Sorry.

And you are also trying to define my faith by how you think I should act. I will add both of y'all to my prayer list.

I'm not on the R&P board much and I obviously don't agree with DermDoc but I have read and followed his posts on other boards and he is absolutely consistent in his beliefs. Either way, not cool to call someone out for their beliefs like that. I know he's a big boy and will Defend himself but he's good people and calling someone out to prove their beliefs on various boards seems cheesy and vain. That said, the last place I'd looks to validate beliefs, logic, or sanity is the politics board.

DermDoc, in my opinion, is posting in exactly the right place and he posts in other places when appropriate. Again, we can disagree but gotta draw the line calling someone out over their christian beliefs.

I think this is hilarious. I post with a different tenor on different boards/sites quite intentionally. Why wouldn't that be the case? An online community/message board is a communication medium ultimately. I expect that my pastor communicates differently at home than he does from the pulpit.

This is pretty basic human communication/psychology stuff.

I am also relieved that Bob Mueller's days of dishonestly tormenting people for his own gain are over. Am I glad that he faces judgment and never publicly repudiated his evil actions (certainly not limited to Trump)? No, but I don't lament that he is now gone from this mortal coil.

A celebration of the career of dirty cops is anything but morally justified imho;

I believe he was morally depraved. Your own sentiments toward others you disagree with betrays a similar disapproval, imho.

So your defense is, "I know you are but what am I"? Stirring. Again, it seems convenient that morally depraved in your world includes Robert Mueller but not Donald Trump given his well known history.

I could not agree more. How does anyone as a true Christian include anyone, I mean anyone, but not include Donald Trump as a sinner and among the wicked (he meets all tests by far)

ETA: it can be a true contradiction in that Trump is a wicked sinner/morally deprived person yet support and implement government policy that can be beneficial for the country. Many examples of this - in both directions

'Muh Trump' is another great rhetorical turn, though pathetically predictable. I am incapable of finding a solitary good thing/deed 'honest Bob' Mueller ever did in his life.
