It will never get that far. Once the investigation is "complete" and the evidence points to him, it will be quietly "closed" but "officially" left open, that way it can't be disclosed to the public as an open investigation.

The CPD already has a "bad" reputation with the black and gay communities and they do not want to stir the pot.

One of the funniest episodes had them finding a porn film with a hot title. Eventually everybody showed up to watch it including the Ropers. It turned out to be a Woody Woodpecker cartoon.

They live in a world where degeneracy and hedonism is celebrated and almost worshiped. Makes you really appreciate the ones who seem to have their heads on straight. Chris Pratt, Ryan Reynolds etc. But had they grown up as child actors or with Hollyweird parents, chances are they would not be so normal.
