Radicalism will inevitably destroy itself. Whether on the left or the right, radicalism is inherently anti-Capitalist and anti-Freedom.

Unfortunately radical countries can last for a very long time, but they will eventually fail.
You keep trying, don't you.

Radical left: burning, lootings, shooting cops, stealing elections (et.al.)
Radical conservatives: criticizing the left for the above things and a few mean tweets about other things
How about the calls for the cult to start rioting in the streets because they feel so entitled to having Trump reelected even though Trump lost the election?

I think that Trump is doing as much damage to this country as the riots and protests this year by his refusal to accept that he lost the election and creating doubt about his cult and even those outside the cult.
What calls, and by whom of anyone in power on the right? I certainly wouldn't condone such actions and I don't think you would either. And President Trump will step down.

ETA. You have lost all credibility with statements like this. ALL credibility.

Well it's not rioting, but calls from Flynn and the Az GOP chair for Trump to "cross the Rubicon", a la Julius Caesar, is a reference to the end of a republic and beginning of a civil war. And taking up arms has been mentioned many times on F16. Hasn't happened yet though and I imagine it's just talk.

I think most of us don't realize we are true liberals. That is because we believe in the freedom and the rights of the individual as established in our constitution. Relative to the rest of the world we are liberal. What is happening now is something quite different and many call it progessivism. These wish to either ignore the constitution by obtaining rulings from courts who truly have no authority or jurisdiction in those particular matters. Thus the constitution is amended without going through the difficult process of truly amending it. The ultimate goal seems to overthrow the constitution and substitute government control and socialism for the constitution. As accepted among most Communists, socialism leads to communism. Leftism is probably another good word for this progressivism, and unfortunately, unless we assert our value for individual rights, we will lose this battle for the future of our constitution.

North Korea, Cuba, and China show that it can last for generations of human suffering and oppression before it collapses or morphs into a sort of totalitarian Facism of sorts. You don't want to suffer through it just to have a few people have learned a lesson. That lesson isn't learned, they just lost control in a collapse.

We need to reclaim this label too. Liberal is not a bad thing. Leftism is dangerous and malevolent. The current political movement that is opposed to individual liberty and personal responsibility is the antithesis of liberal.

.

Apparently you don't know the difference between rioting and assembling. Since the election, how many murders have you seen at gatherings, burnt down cities, people standing in traffic, fights with the police? This is from 74 million people that think they were cheated. We all know what would have happened if Trump won.

Head in the sand much?

How many buildings have been burnt down since 11/3 again?

If the left didn't want so much dissatisfaction for how this election was run, they would have followed the election laws that are designed to provide transparency and confidence in the vote.

You throw those out, and, guess what? You have half of the country with no confidence in the vote.

This is the new left talking point.

The sweeping sentiments of nationalism and populism in this country will outlast Trump. The left is moving too fast, too forcefully, and the patriotic workers of this country are tired of the elite and their value signaling.

This scares the **** out of the left.

The references to Trumpism and Trump cult is just a way to try and demonize that mode of political thought. If you hear someone say either of those things, just look right through them as someone that hates this country and the hard working people that made it, and are advocating for communism and globalism.

the problem is that leftism is a massive black hole and will drag everyone else down with it.

Great societies never fail from outside attacks. They fail from within. We're on that path. I do not expect my grandchildren will know the freedoms I have in their lifetime. Because they're born with the proverbial 'silver phone in their mouths", they'll never know a life where they can travel without someone, or some company knowing their whereabouts 24/7.

Goebbels put it best:

"This will always remain one of the best jokes of democracythat it gave its deadly enemies the means by which it was destroyed."

Trump and his merry band showed how true that is.

When we continue to play the morally and intellectually bankrupt "both sides are bad!" game, we've lost. At some point we have to realize that there are some opinions and viewpoints that honestly have no value, no place in society. To treat them as equals gives evil the only foot in the door it needs.

Work ethic won't save you from what is coming. The elites know they have a chance to permanently squash you and every subsequent generation, forever. With technology, they will be able to do it and you won't even know what has happened until it's too late.

Religious social conservatives have the most kids by far but that isn't going to matter when tech advances as fast as it does. That's a generational strategy that tech has made irrelevant. Things are happening now that would be unthinkable just 10 years ago.

We're going to get a cyberpunk dystopia just without any of the cool tech for us plebes and far more actual suffering.

Totalitarianism didn't have technology available to perpetuate it like it does now. Just look at China at how utterly complacent and accepting their population is now. They do literally anything their government says on the whole without question because it's suicide to do otherwise. Social credit scores, etc. are designed around pure control and the average citizen can do absolutely nothing about it.

What happened in the past is nothing in comparison to what is coming. Technology will allow for 24/7 monitoring on a scale the KGB could scarcely fathom. There will be no escape and no where to go, except your mind.

Barring some sort of global catastrophe, a system with this level of control will perpetuate itself through massive inertia alone.

A blue star for both your posts. What you foretell is inevitable, I'm afraid, barring the collapse or his return.

This is why accelerationism is gaining traction among the far right. Many see what is coming in the future and know that if it's a slow boil then we cannot stop it but if the elites push too hard too fast, then the system will come crashing down and chaos will result. At that point, the situation would be up for grabs.
