Pretty sure he was making a joke, because he started without the press or camera being on. Not really the gotcha people think it is IMO.
"I started without you [the press and camera man], sorry. I sold a lot of state secrets and very important things..." ***entire room starts laughing***
I like how the media acted when he said that.snowdog90 said:
Here's a couple things that piss me off. Biden says this, and he's obviously making a joke.
1. He makes this joke because he expects nothing to come of any of this. Even when he says this, the people next to him smile like it's hilarious. Meanwhile, they all know it's all true. They all know Joe's been for sale for 50 years. It reminds me of Bill Clinton. Sadly, I think the consequences for Joe will be the same as they were for Bill. None.
2. And just to state the obvious AGAIN, because it is so blatantly obvious, the major media will either not report this or will editorialize that he is joking. Fine, I hate Biden, and I'm sure he was joking. It's a terrible joke, but terrible jokes are the only jokes Biden ever tells, if he can remember them.
So, again, fine, it's a joke. And so was Trump's comment about wanting the Russians to get Hillary's emails. Obvious joke in a debate, an off-the-cuff zinger. Does the media truthfully report that Trump was joking? Hell no, it's Russiagate for the next 4 years.
