I think legalizing gambling in Texas is pretty inevitable at this point, especially with all the money and influence behind it. I've been to Choctaw a few times myself, and it's wild how many Texans head that way every weekend, it's proof there's demand.

Honestly, I think Texas is missing out by keeping gambling so restricted. People who really want to gamble cross state lines or do it online anyway, so the state loses out on tax revenue that could be used for schools, infrastructure, or healthcare. At the same time, I get that some people worry about addiction and social issues, but that's more about regulation and support programs than banning it outright. If it were legalized and controlled properly, it could bring in a lot of money and jobs while also giving players safer, more transparent options instead of shady workarounds. I play casino games online, and I'd love to be able to play offline, but it's not always possible. But there are a lot of cool online casinos, and on https://casinoofthekings.ca/ I can always find some information about online casinos and what is offered there. I always check such info before playing because I can ask for advice about actual casinos, but when it comes to offline casinos, I trust such reviews.

Texas politicians almost certainly don't miss out when they're lobbied by out of state interests to keep it illegal. I hate gambling but I love freedom and liberty. Bans are stupid.

You are not wrong, but as Aggieforester suggested,
The politicians would miss out on all that Louisiana and Oklahoma lobbyists money.

So much for politicians making decisions based on the wishes and welfare of its constituents
