Acting like that group of attorneys are some sort of mega beasts because of what they did to Alex Jones is silly. Alex Jones refused to cooperate with court orders and got defaulted. Everyone in that area hated his guts and thus the huge verdict. The judge also hated his guts and conducted one of the most insanely biased hearings I've ever seen. How much work did the attorneys actually have to do in that case?

This is a completely different animal. These attorneys are representing some of the most unlikable, miserable people who acted suspicious as hell especially Brian Higgins.

Also, they are all sharing one attorney to save money. Multiple interconnected families plus Higgins. Not outside the realm of possibility that there becomes a conflict for that attorney at some point where they need to split. This is going to be super expensive, drawn out litigation, how will they cover it?

Same with Proctor. He's not hirable anymore and his wife is a teacher (assuming she is staying with him, which probably isn't a good assumption now that his texts about her refusing to do anal with him so he was trying to get her drunk and passed out and then do it to her so she couldn't say no are public.)

Every controlled substance arrest those two have ever had just went under direct appeal and will likely be overturned.

It may be more cost-effective for them to expunge all records that aren't aggravated assault or higher, rather than re-pursuing the smaller ones.

There is already a conflict of interest just by representing them all. Hope for the lawyer's sake he's sharp enough to have signed waivers from all of them.

Also, we learned from this that Proctor first applied to Boston police and they rejected him after doing a background check. We don't know why he got rejected but he said some choice things about the African-American officer lady that did the background check.

Part of Karen's lawsuit against Massachusetts State Police was negligent hiring and retention and they should have known that he was already rejected from Boston police when they hired him and you would think the state police would be harder to get into than City police.

Big win today for the Read team.

Disgraced former trooper Michael Proctor had a deposition scheduled with Alan Jackson which was supposed to take place today. On Friday, Proctor's attorney filed for an emergency motion to delay the deposition, citing their need to prepare their client along with some amorphous other issues that were filed privately with the court.

After an emergency hearing this morning, the judge took some time to mull it over. From what I'm seeing the judge has ruled in favor of Read and Proctor will have to sit for the deposition tomorrow.

Read's team has said it was strategically important to depose Proctor first and it looks like they're going to get their wish.

But Sadly Proctor got a delay. June 25th and July 14th

I wanted it today. God I wish it was televised.

And of course as soon as I type this I learned that Read's team is actually unavailable tomorrow and the judge taking all day to come up with this ruling has now given Proctor the delay he wanted. From what I've been reading, the judge wanted the deposition done tomorrow and did not know the defense team was unavailable tomorrow because he never asked.

They're going to have to work on a future scheduling date. Jackson had flown in from Los Angeles to do this deposition today and may not be free tomorrow.

They will have to do some of it on the 25th and another part of it on July 14th. Proctor ended up getting exactly what he wanted.
