Yes! I feel like we've been on one hell of a winning streak. Society has crossed the threshold of social conscience regarding DEI and most people see it as a punchline now.

ESG doesn't mean **** when it comes to borrowing now that interest rates are so high.

It was an advantage when it was essential to get free money and investment. I think that's what he means by "no longer business critical"...but it was because market manipulation by Marxists

They were protection from leftist lawfare attack in the private sector for a time. The deal was that they give into extortion and hire some useless leftist activists and say the right things and they escape the worst of legal assaults and regulatory threats. They submitted. All the shareholders and customers and non DEI employees paid the price.

Exactly. We can't let our guard down and assume the root issue is being rooted out just yet.

We've even had Aggie's that work in HR post on here about how DEI is good for businesses and has little to nothing to do with race or hiring less qualified people. All in the name of improving 'workplace satisfaction'.

Essentially admitting that they are going to rebrand but keep doing the same thing because they've been caught and don't see the err of their ways.

A good summary of how this affects smaller companies.

But, DEI was so critical for financing at every level for a few years. (still is, but hopefully waning).

My brother works for one of the Big 3 oil companies in New Mexico. They recently sent a corporate talking head guy out from Houston to gather everyone together and lecture them on the importance of DEI at company X, and how they are going to do "more". One of his co-workers (Hispanic guy, like 80% of his crew) raised his hand afterwards and asked, "So does that mean you're going to fire a bunch of us Mexicans and try to hire black dudes?" Talking head guy's brain couldn't come up with a sentence to respond…

Probably worse; they'll try to integrate women, trans, etc. and productivity will go down 70% or more due to complaints, poor camaraderie, and destruction of culture

At my friends company, they promoted some avg performing girl out of the blue, kind of surprised a few people. Within a month the best employee on the team (white guy) quit and took another job. Apparently he was pissed about it, that he didn't get the promotion or any consideration. Company frequently touts the number of women in leadership they have.
