I average about 8-12 clients a month as a freelance writer / editor. 2022 - what I consider Biden's worst year based on inflation and interest rate issues - was the worst year I've had in quite some time, with lots of clients waffling, saying they couldn't afford prices they had previously paid, or flat out saying they were too worried about the economy to spend extra $$.

On Wednesday (Election +1) I received orders from 5 clients, 2 of whom said without any prompting from me that they were ordering because they expected the economy to start bouncing back post-election.

That's a little bit overstating what was going on. Most DeSantis supporters were simply arguing that DeSantis would stand a better chance than Trump with the middle ground voters. Little did we foresee the Dems completely ****ing up by a) not holding a primary, b) picking the absolute worst possible candidate, c) compounding that by picking the worst possible VP candidate, and then d) spending their campaign in horribly transparent gaslighting attempts trying to convince America that Kamala was a completely different person than we've lived under for 4 years.
