I'm sure the "officials" actually referenced are low level analysts with zero say in anything. Whoever is kvetching and then leaking it to CNN is clearly not professional in any capacity and lacks integrity.

WTF is a Pentagon official? That's such a ridiculously vague term that it could refer to anything from a 4 Star General to some random transportation Major that shares a tiny office with a couple of Captains.
