Trump is expected to sign more than 200 executive orders this afternoon.

Thought we could keep a running list of them here for reference as they are signed.

He's already signed a couple. Those formally announce cabinet appointees, and other lower level appointees that don't require senate approval.

Elections are when people find out what politicians stand for, and politicians find out what people will fall for.

Treat those not as Trump as 45 did, but as Obama as 44 did. Ignore and "get your way" until the appeal is overturned.

That is what probably got him elected.

I still hope his first EO is to void all former EOs. It should actually be automatic where the departure of an executive automatically sunsets all of his EOs.

This would be helpful in limiting policy spill over from one administration into the next, and help to push executives to get things codified in law.

I'd rather both sides actually stop with EOs and get things approved, or not, via the legislature. The way it is supposed to happen.

Some history on EO's

President Truman signed the most executive orders during his first 100 days. He signed a total of 54 executive orders, three more than Franklin Roosevelt did during his second term's first 100 days.

Former President George H.W. Bush signed the fewest executive orders in his first 100 days, with a total of just 11.

Too late now. We're gonna have excessive EOs & pardons every 4-8 years.

Sadly, no chance of that as long as the level of divisiveness remains as it is.

Agreed - but the courts claiming Trump was being prejudiced in his attempts to remove an Obama EO was a really nasty trick. I expect them to try it again. It'd be very hard for them to make the same argument if he just said "null & void" to all prior EOs.

I do too but things need to change QUICKLY and going through the legislative branch just doesn't accomplish that so EO's it is.

That's a really good idea. Good enough that you should submit it just in case someone will read it in the admin. This done properly could easily create a tradition and expectation that "all prior are void, naturally --- no need to look at motives or context any particular one. If still want it, you re-order it."

That's not reality and never will be again. No need to even post this.

And Trump should ignore them unless the Supreme Court of the United States tells him he can't. A leftist court doesn't get to tell a president (the chief executive) that he can't rescind an executive order, unless it's something that was also codified by Congress through legislation.
