I agree with InElkoWeTrust hear. We can be doing that

I can appreciate that he makes a concerted effort to connect to "the average American" and tries to show that "he's just one of us."

Whether or not he is either of those things in truth doesn't really matter for the purposes of this thread, but I will def give him credit for connecting with the people in that way.
It has worked very well for him, and there is a not small group of people who follow him unquestionably because of it for better or worse.
