Dejoy is stepping down. How can you decrease volume and add that many employees?!

I say we fire a bunch of folks and go to 3 day per week delivery. That would require a law and Dems will never approve it since the USPS is workfare for liberals. But, if you reduced employees such that you still did 6 week delivery but you effectively only do 3 day delivery that would work. You service a 1/3 of the routes every other day.

What should Trump do here?

I'm all for that!

Is mail delivery 6 days a week mandated by statute? Had no idea!

USPS needs to be privatized like the Germans did with Deutsche Post.
"If you will not fight for right when you can easily win without blood shed; if you will not fight when your victory is sure and not too costly; you may come to the moment when you will have to fight with all the odds against you and only a precarious chance of survival. There may even be a worse case. You may have to fight when there is no hope of victory, because it is better to perish than to live as slaves." - Sir Winston Churchill

I'm pretty sure that 90% of USPS is junk mail anymore anyways.

These days my physical mails consists of:

60% business flyers
35% offer letters to refinance my home, cars, etc
5% legit mail, about 1 or 2 letters per month

So, yeah, if its a huge money pit, reduce the USPS delivery days.

Get out RFI and RFQs to see if there's a company that can do it cheaper and better. (Answer will be yes)

Get out the RFPs and award the business. Shut down USPS.

I admire the Trump team for exposing the fraud and waste.
I like the facts and figures everyone can understand.
My question is, did Trump start this ball rolling last couple of years?
Do we actually have patriots who work for government and are more than willing to give up the info? What did our GOP politicians know- have they been sitting on this? Are these young sleuths that good to fight through the Lib firewalls? Or were Lib workers so confident they didn't hide anything and thought they had lifetime government jobs?

That pretty much applies to all of us. It's just taxpayer funded advertising for business now.

The only thing I get that is legit is my monthly water bill and my yearly car registration renewal.

Seems like a no brainer to shut down USPS and outsource to the private sector (UPS, FedEx, DHL) who will do the job far more efficiently.

Amazon already contracts with USPS for last mile delivery for certain products. If Amazon thought they could do it cheaper, they would. Plus getting rid of the post office would likely require a constitutional amendment, because it's one of the enumerated powers listed there.

PSA...

Fun fact for those of us with community mailboxes...

The keys the USPS uses for distributing your mail, are keyed the same for the entire zip code. ONE master key for an ENTIRE zip code.

The reason I know this is because some nefarious people have obtained one of these keys for my zip code, and they like to go shopping thru our mailboxes every now and again.

Your United States Postal Service refuses to do anything about it.

Check your mail daily people. Especially if you're expecting anything of value or containing personal information.

A guy I know got hired at USPS. Was looking for a semi retirement job. Applied online. 6 months or so later, gets an email that says he's been accepted and to report to this location in a couple weeks.

The day comes, and they show up at the specified location. The manager there has no idea what is going on but tells them "Oh, you're probably one of the new hires". Manager tells him honestly he has no idea why they were hired or where he should go. Tells them to go home and he'll find out and let him know.

Several weeks go by the manager calls and says there's another post office close by and go ask there. My friend finally found an opening after a couple more weeks. Said it felt like there were 3 managers for every employee.

After a while, he didn't like the shift, so told his manager he was quitting.- the manager suggested that he just stop showing up because it may take years to actually fire him. As far as I know, he's still getting checks.

We contacted our congressman because it got so bad in our neighborhood. An employee got fired and they kept the key. So the boxes get hit every week or so.

Some of the mail ended up in San Antonio, and we're in Katy.

One neighbor put a camera at one of the boxes and he was sent a cease and desist from the MUD so he had to take it down.

I make sure to check the mail often just in case. I was waiting on a vehicle title so I was checking every day. Apparently they are going to re-key the boxes but its going to take forever.

It is obvious that he has been planning this for at least a year, probably four years. This is what entrepreneurs do. Failure is but a setback and a valuable lesson on what not to do. He started at least going over lessons learned the day he lost the 2020 election.

Do we actually have patriots who work for government and are more than willing to give up the info?
I know a few. There are likely more of them mixed in than we see, but I am sure that they are outnumbered like a conservative professor at a private university.

What did our GOP politicians know- have they been sitting on this?
The ones that are in power are playing the game. Look for some high-ranking GOP officials to retire or get perp walked. I'm looking at you McConnell. Wouldn't be surprised to see some real patriots like Cruz get mopped up as well, which would be painful, but worth it. (Note, I'm not saying Cruz is on the take, just an example of GOP leadership that might get caught up in this mess.)

Are these young sleuths that good to fight through the Lib firewalls?
In the past, reform efforts have been top-down. Follow the allocation money and try and prevent fraud. The deep state is well equipped to fight this type of reform. Due to advances in AI technology, Muskermensch is able to fight from the bottom up. Trace expenditures, not allocations. No interaction with people is needed. The deep state firewalls are indeed extremely vulnerable to this type of attack, because the technology to do it didn't exist when those firewalls were built. The proof of this is how efficiently they killed the USAID dragon. They had uncovered eyepopping examples of fraud in days, not weeks.

Or were Lib workers so confident they didn't hide anything and thought they had lifetime government jobs?
This is obviously helping. They got too greedy. They cut too deep into the mines of Moria, and now have awakened the leviathan slayer.

Today I was passed on a two lane residential street by a reckless speeder doing at least 2X the speed limit. He pulled into the USPS parking lot. The irony is overwhelming.

Could fix the post office in short order...

1) Private mail by citizens uses the existing stamp and is put in a special slot / box at the post office. Nothing changes except where it is dropped

2) Any billing mail is charged 2X current rate. No volume discounts. Requires Unique QR code for tracking.

3) Any promotional mails for business or candidates are charged 3X existing rate. No volume discounts. Requires Unique QR code for tracking.

4) Any group from #2 or #3 that uses #1, gets fined $10,000 first offense, $50K 2nd offense, $100K each additional offense

5) Add self service kiosk to every lobby in major metro areas. Buy stamps, etc

6) Outsource all passport services to Walgreens, CVS, Office Depot, etc

7) Mail gets delivered Tues, Wed, Thurs

8) Priority Mail gets delivered 5 days per week, but add $10 per package for Mon or Fri delivery.
This delivery is outsourced to Uber type private service.

9) Offer subscription service for businesses that want mail 5 days per week. $50 per month for 1000 letters in or out, $100 for 2000 letters in or out, and with subscription, your mail rate drops to a lower percentage of 2X the cost. All mail is currently scanned anyway, so it would be very easy to just count the mail and offer is subscription based service.

My dad was a retired Postmaster (many years ago) in central Texas. I remember him telling me the main reason for retiring. It was because he couldn't fire anybody once they were hired. The only way for someone to be fired was to be caught red handed by postal inspectors in a major illegal activity. They told him if the employee was that much trouble, just put him in the break room for his entire shift or let him call in sick every day. My dad and the true workers ended up doing all the slackers work. He finally got fed up and retired when he had put his years in. The post office has been this way forever.

Did you all know you can sign up for USPS Informed Delivery and every morning you will get an email with what's being delivered to your mail box that day? It's a scan of the actual mail coming to you so you know if you need to go to your mail box or not. It's free and takes about two minutes online to sign up for it.

And starting this year in my neighborhood, they stuff the junk mail a newspaper bag and toss it on our porches. And by porches I mean ditches, in the street, in adjacent yards, on the sidewalk, etc.

The MUD has no authority over federal mailboxes.

Why they were involved i have no idea.

Start jacking up the price on mailing out ads. There's got to be a break even where revenue remains constant a lower volume. That'll reduce the necessary headcount to facilitate it all and reduce the junk mail in people's mailboxes.
