We're only one month into Trump's presidency, and pride in America is back in style.
Maybe the simplest example is the USA vs Canada hockey game tonight. You had a ton of people, myself included, who only watch hockey during the winter Olympics (if then) tuning into tonight's game to root for a bunch of players who were proud to skate for our country. To give a point of reference, the first USA/Canada game had 10.1M viewers, and I'd have to guess the one tonight had a ****load more. For a comparison from just this last weekend, the NBA allstar game had 4.7M people tune in (I think). The NBA is mostly made up of me-first players who have very little pride in this country (as shown during the summer of BLM). Compare that to the guys on both sides tonight who were proud to play for their respective countries.
Yeah it sucks that we lost tonight, but it is great to see pride in our country coming back in style.
