I hate that this is a political issue.

There are rare cases of people who do have gender issues. The proud transgenders of lgtbq have hijacked this and are legitimately unwell in their mind.

The only positive thing it did was contribute to Trump's victory.

The Kamala trans ad will go down in history as one of the most pivotal of a political campaign. It was perfect. I guarantee the splicing in of Charlamagne's disgust over Kamala's desire for tax-payer funded surgeries for trans inmates gave Trump a HUGE bump with black men.

That was the proverbial "final straw" for many of them to either switch their vote for Trump or vote for Trump instead of sitting on the sidelines.

DNA can't be the end all be all for gender. Male and females have different brain structures. What happens when the structure of your brain is opposite of your chromosomes? That's a man brain trapped in a woman's body or a woman's brain trapped in a male body.

Quit comparing rare, but diagnosable medical/genetic conditions to someone who simply decides he or she "feels like" the opposite sex. They are not the same thing and it is a disservice to people who suffer from those actual conditions to be lumped into a group of mentally ill individuals.

One is something no one wanted or asked for.

One, I don't care how someone lives, just don't tell me that I should treat it as a normal. Two, what you just described is the equivalent of the rarest form of cancer as the reason why this is totally normal.

If your definition of gender is based on chromosomes, and trans people don't claim have different chromosomes, then they are not delusional. They are not denying any objective observable reality.

When conservatives and liberals talk about gender, they are talking about different things, which is why this argument is pointless. It's just semantics. If we can't agree on definitions, accusations of delusion are meaningless.

You literally gave an example of delusion in attempting to define something as not delusional.

Besides that… there may be cases of " androgen sensitivity ". There are also people born with 6 fingers; some with sensitivity to lactose, etc.

None of these other biological aberrations are getting an entire political movement behind it and federal statues reconfigured to suit them.

If I'm born with 6 fingers, but inside I just " know" I only have 5, or vice versa, then it's up to me ( not everyone else on the planet to create a safe space for me) to deal with this psychological issue.

If someone appears masculine on the outside, but then claims to have a feminine personality (and they are not lying), then it is a FACT that they have a feminine personality.

If you then try to claim that they are delusional for having a feminine personality, this would not make sense. Personality is a subjective experience. To be delusional about something, you have to deny objective facts. You can't be delusional about something that is subjective.

If your favorite pizza flavor is pineapple, that may seem like an odd opinion, but no matter how odd this opinion is, it cannot be a delusional opinion because it is subjective. In the same sense, the psychological aspect of gender is subjective. One cannot be delusional about their own gender experience. Psychology is subjective, biology is objective.

You can think trans people are icky/gross all you want. But it is not logically correct to call them delusional.

This is how clinical grade psychopaths think.

By forcing me to accept the reality of someone's mind, as you say, then I am forced to abandon objective reality.

Therefore trans movement is in fact expecting me to deny reality.

I can't deny that a person may believe , to the marrow of their existence, that they are the opposite sex/gender etc.

But that literally can not make it so.

If it did, then I can identify as anything I wish.

Etc…

Logically speaking this can't be anything but delusional.

Past this…. Then we are able to invent whole new subjective realities where 1+1 is 3.

This argument will go down a path of post modernist rationalism vs skepticism.
