These fine young lads needed to blow off some steam after a tough differential equations exam, so decided to take over the street on their bicycles. One motorist yelled at them, stopped beside a police car, and got out to speak with the officer. She wouldn't get out of her vehicle, and then on the way back to his car, this angry mob of Fulbright Scholars ruthlessly attacked him. They beat him senseless and then vandalized his vehicle as the Miami police officer remained in her car, unwilling to assist the unconscious fellow.

She's been suspended and is under investigation. Was she a DEI hire gone wrong? Was she cognizant of the fact that if she left her vehicle and used forced against this Eagle Scout troop that she and her family would be doxxed and Ben Crump would be setting up shop in Coconut Grove for the next few months?

It's unbelievable that entitled mobs like this continue to do these kind of things, and I don't envy the police officer in this situation. Still though, how can anyone that's taken an oath to protect and serve remain idle and watch this nonsense?

I'm not defending her, but if she is not black then I bet the part in bold is true and I understand her reasoning.

A male officer pulled up and jumped on the closest goon. Curious if those thugs turned on him. Hope there were a few arrests and the hoodlums are charged with a hate crime. Black racism is a scourge.

Yup, maybe waiting for backup? She couldn't have known how many were armed. Its a little shocking she didn't get out when she saw the other officer.

Amazing how a stern command from someone holding a shotgun will quell a disturbance. If it doesn't, she has 5+ rounds in the shotgun and 15 plus on her hip

Pretty sure courts have ruled that police are not obligated to protect someone, and when coupled with the thought of having your life ruined for actually doing your job, it's easy to see why she didn't get out.

Then, stack on top of that a female versus multiple male perpetrators whom could overwhelm you and take your firearm....

There's a lot to unpack here. I would suspect part of it is being a woman. I know that's not a popular thing to say but, and I preface this that I worked with a lot of good female officers over the years, women just don't have that aggressive mentality men do to jump in and do their jobs regardless of the danger.
I'm suspect another, and maybe even significant reason for this, is that she's probably scared to death to take action against blacks. This is a reality with police today. Most of the time the attitude is that it's just not worth the unimaginable grief they may go through if they do their job and have to use force against blacks.
Don't know her age, but if she's younger there could also be a Gen Z effect. Gen Z just aren't very good workers in general and are more theoretical. This is one of those times that action is required and that's not the strength of Gen Z.
None of this of course excuses her cowardice and she should be fired.

To add to this... the human being with this equipment has to be physically and mentally willing to do the task.

Popping holes in a paper target a few times a year is one thing...a real life deadly force encounter is 50x harder and has way more consequences if you miss.

This headline could easily have read "out of control cop sprays bullets everywhere trying to control spring breakers"

or " promising female officer brutally assaulted and killed in daylight by angry mob of young men"

lastly using a 12 gauge would be pretty icky at close range...enough so that someone that is "behind the curve" already would be hesitant to use it.

She was probably too busy, filling out all the citations she was going to issue, or thinking about the "stern lecture" she was going to give them…

This "might" ruin her chances of becoming a DEI "chief of police" hire (or "director of community relations") at some nearby small-medium sized city department, in the next 5 years, rather than being lucky to even make Sergeant, like her White male counterparts (who are expected to do actual "cop stuff", rather than be glorified meter maids)…..

To add to this view, there was a story a few years back about an officer who shot to death a woman (genuinely found to have been mentally unstable) who came out of her car with a knife in her hand, waving it in his direction. She was about 2o feet away, and as he was yelling at her to stop, he was pulling the trigger and dropping her.

He said this was how they were trained. When there is someone who has a weapon and is a genuine threat, you are supposed to shoot to stop them in their tracks.

I want to know if there's a similar policy for her department. If there is, she needs to be fired. Not because she's female, but because she didn't adhere to the policy laid out in black and white.

As for her being a DEI hire? I'm sure if I were to go to far-left social media accounts, I'd be able to find just as many instances where a white male failed at their duties. The fact is that people fail in their jobs all the time. Believe it or not, even the white males.
