We're getting closer to us flat out saying we will not protect trade ships carrying Chinese cargo. That's the ultimate trump card and the entire globe knows it. No security, no trade. Or we go a step further and become hostile to vessels carrying Chinese cargo. The world trades freely because we let them.

Nobody is a good option for them to replace the USA. If they cozy up to other countries it may keep their exports going at reasonable tariff rates, but at about 1/3 of the volume. China needs volume!

China cannot provide other countries what they want and need anyway. Ultimately, those in the EU want protection when necessary, energy supplies, military supplies, etc. They can't get that from China.
Please tell me there's a special place in Heaven for Aggie fans! It's like we are living some sort of penance on Earth.

Well it depends on how he pivots. If he does it behind the scenes, just getting a deal done, he can spin that as a victory.

He pivoted on Mexico and Canada early on, then victory lapped on the "border concessions". Everyone on F16 also spiked the ball on that pivot.

Well it depends on how he pivots. If he does it behind the scenes, just getting a deal done, he can spin that as a victory.

He can also pivot by creating a tariff czar that will get the blame for any negative impacts.

If Chinas tone to other countries was aggressive or threatening, then I see that as a positive. Other co7tnriss ought to be scared krapless of making china their main partner over us. Despite trumps rhetoric, we're still a safer choice.
