This is horribly tragic. Denton County Commissioner and her husband stabbed by their grandson. The husband died and she's in the hospital recovering from surgery.

Mother of the murderer (daughter of the victims) was recently named Teacher of the Year at the local FloMo middle school.

Overall seems like an incredibly sad situation but I don't think many of the usual assumptions regarding "feral" behavior apply here.

And other than grandma being a county commissioner, I fail to see any political angle here at all.
