With the presiding judge she got, she'll at most get a slap on the wrist.

However, the fact that the DOJ will indict and force someone to go to trial will sure as hell act as a deterrent to other judges and state officials thinking of doing something similar.

That's the point. Legal speak is designed to over complicate things so there's a built in safety net for only qualified members of the legal community to interpret it correctly.

Jury nullification will happen similar to the Sussman case in DC. At best for the feds it will be hung. They will not be able to find 12 people willing to convict on that charge.

That's what she's counting on and what is likely to happen. Really quite sad where we are as a country. Grand juries refusing to indict on obvious crimes and judges counting on jury nullification to walk away.
