Isn't there supposed to be some basis in law for a TRO to be issued? There should be something more than a petitioner screaming "Waaaaah!!! That's not fair!" For a judge to legitimately issue a TRO, no?

a TRO must (among other things) "state the date and hour it was issued; describe the injury and state why it is irreparable; state why the order was issued without notice;"

none of that is in this order. its not really a TRO, that hearing is next week.

this appears to be a writ issued to maintain jurisdiction with the court (put aside I am not sure this court even has jurisdiction).

it does not make sense to me that a judge could issue a de facto TRO without following the rules of a TRO, but that is what happened here.

this judge came from the public defenders office. i'll just leave it at that.

because due process in the constitution is not limited to applying to citizens or legal immigrants.

Otherwise every law breaker and murderer could theoretically get a TRO against incarceration prior to trial if they found a crazy enough judge simply because detainment could be considered irreparable injury to the accused...

What is the process to impeach District judges? Whatever the process is, it needs to ensue. It's the only way to deal with these traitorous judges that place their political agenda over the safety of American citizens.

Same for impeaching a President.

The House impeaches and then the Senate holds the trial.

Which is why it is pointless because the Democrats in the Senate will never vote for conviction, and the Republicans don't have anywhere close to the number of votes needed. Besides, the Republicans wouldn't have the guts to do it even if they had the votes.

I'm okay with getting them on record supporting this crap. There are a lot of citizens out there, many of them traditional democrat voters, that feel like the justice system is corrupt and tilted against them. Let's go ahead and make a clear connection between the corrupt justice system and the elected officials that want their vote.

And remind them at the same time that the reason these democrat judges and politicians WANT the illegals here is to diminish their voting power and replace them as their power base on the plantation.

if you find a judge crazy enough, anything can happen regardless of the law or rules.

as for your hypo, a TRO before a criminal trial would be not ripe because you have not been sentenced to jail. but even if one did issue, it is only good for 14 days.

These judges need to consider the long term consequences of these short sided decisions.

One of the biggest risks our Country immediately faces is a feckless SCOTUS who are allowing (if not encouraging) the judiciary to render political verdicts, injunctions, stays, etc.
