Just say "We are doing this because we can, and we want to condition the public to not being free."

And sitting at home on your butt is good for you? Only a liberal can come up with this logic.

Some updates on the Alberta separatist movement and general insanity in Canada.

What a crazy place it has become.
Quote:

With everything that's happened in the past year, word of the initiative petition has been spreading, as has interest in finding out more about the process.
No one was ready for what happened yesterday, now that it's been officially blessed to begin collecting signatures, when the petition drive came to Calgary.

Quote:

The citizen-initiative petition on Alberta independence has started collecting signatures and made a stop in Calgary over the weekend, as new data shows more Albertans are in favour of separation.
The petition was approved by Elections Alberta in December and its campaign is now holding events across the province to gather signatures.
In the southeast Calgary community of Queensland Saturday, a line to sign stretched out a community centre and down the block.
"We're seeing this across the province. We had similar footage of Red Deer this afternoon as well. All of our other events outside of Calgary have been at capacity and all we can do to process the signatures," said Gregory Hartzler, CFO of the Stay Free Alberta Campaign.
"What about my pension, what about Canada pension; and what about the state of being landlocked and what do we do, how do we make money if we're landlocked?" a panelist at Saturday's event asked.
The petition asks: "Do you agree that the Province of Alberta should cease to be a part of Canada to become an independent state?"
"I'm just tired of the political climate tired of the current federal government trying to take away my right to make money, my freedoms and everything else. It's time to stand up and do something about it," said petition supporter Tim Burrell.

I'M TIRED OF IT
It turns out he has lots of company.

I'm a Canadian. All my family is there. Alberta separating would devastate the country. I am all for it!!!

Canada has become a one party dictatorship that's a vassal for global criminal organizations and "globalists".

The last people anyone cares about are actual Canadians.

Just to be fair, if you break your leg, in Canada, it will take you a year to get proper healthcare. ; )

That's terrible where that country has gone, it seems things have definitely deteriorated the last 15 years. I support Alberta, they are some good people

That's not true. Acute issues like a broken leg are taken care of immediately. It's lingering not totally debilitating issues that take forever.

Albertans declare "we want independence" but Americans hear "we want to be the 51st state". It is not a given that Alberta would want to join the US (at least initially). However, I suspect Alberta would eventually join for reasons similar to why Texas joined the union. Too hard for Alberta to make it as a landlocked, stand alone country with indefensible borders and a small population.
